About Me
I’m a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST), and my goal is simple: to help families feel confident that their child is as safe as possible on every ride.
My journey into this work started when I was pregnant with my son. Like many new parents, I wanted to ensure I was doing everything right—but when it came to car seat installation and harnessing, I found myself feeling overwhelmed. I was looking for support, clear guidance, and reassurance. That experience lit a spark in me and eventually led me to become certified so I could offer that same support to other families.
Today, I help caregivers choose the right seat based on their child’s height, weight, developmental stage, vehicle, and budget. Every family is unique, and I believe car seat safety should be accessible, understandable, and empowering—not intimidating.
I take a caregiver-led approach, which means you do the hands-on work while I guide you step by step. My goal isn’t just a safe seat—it’s your confidence in using it every day. I’m trained in Universal Anchorage Systems (UAS), seatbelt routing, harness adjustment, proper recline angles, and ensuring a correct and secure fit.
Each seat check includes a thorough inspection, a signed checklist, and clear communication about any safety concerns—such as expired, damaged, or recalled seats. I also carry professional liability insurance to give families added peace of mind.
Car crashes remain one of the leading causes of injury to children in Canada. But the right car seat, installed and used correctly, can reduce the risk of serious injury or death by more than 70%.
That’s why I do this work—because every child deserves to ride safely, and every caregiver deserves to feel confident they're doing it right.
